In 2020, the Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Studies on Technology and Territory (LINTT) celebrates its 10 years of existence. To celebrate this decade of work, researchers and students, who were part of this decade of work and research, will come together to present and discuss the various contributions of LINTT. The event will take place in the first three weeks of December and will be fully online due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Even with the current political, economic and public health difficulties, the meeting and the debate enable the emergence of new perspectives for the future; of hope that better days will come.

LINTT is one of the Thematic Laboratories of the Museum of Archeology and Ethnology of the University of São Paulo (MAE-USP). It was created in 2010 with the aim of aggregating research and promoting interdisciplinary debate based on studies of technology and territory. From anthropological, archaeological and ethno-archaeological perspectives, the research developed at LINTT seeks to understand the entanglements between technology, territory, landscape and identity for different populations (indigenous, quilombolas, backwoods, etc.) over time and space. Themes such as the transmission of technical knowledge, the construction and significance of landscapes, the formation of social identities and dynamics of continuity and sociocultural change are highlighted.
