LAST DAYS: How does your research respond to the urgencies of the Anthropocene?
Abstract submissions for Working Group 8 – “Aesthetics of the End of the World: art, fabulations and narratives in the Anthropocene as a research device in the Anthropologies of the South” are open until June 20th.
If your research intersects with Visual Anthropology, the Arts, Literature, Performance, or proposes critical fabulations and counter-narratives to contemporary collapses from the Global South, Working Group 8 is your space for dialogue.
Our working group proposes an interdisciplinary space for debate that takes art and narratives not only as objects of study, but as epistemological methods and crucial research devices in the face of the planetary transformations of the Anthropocene, under South-South geopolitical coordinates. We invite graduate students and researchers from the Social Sciences, Anthropology and Arts to submit their communication proposals.
