Areas of interest
Her research focuses on the daily lives of low-income urban families. She is currently working on two research fronts. The first seeks to understand the production of the city through its waters—including potable water, rainwater, floodwaters, and sewage, as well as rivers, seas, and bays—with the aim of discussing the effects of climate change on urban space. The second research front analyzes the lasting impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the lives of residents in working-class neighborhoods, connecting debates around housing, health, care, race, and gender.
