Science Initiation

Starting in the second semester of the course, students interested in developing research must seek a professor to prepare a Scientific Initiation project, with or without a scholarship, depending on availability. Throughout the course, the student may undertake more than one Scientific Initiation, including in different disciplines or sub-disciplines.

(Amendments to Resolution CoPq No. 7236/2016 - 18/10)

We inform you that the amendments to Resolution CoPq No. 7236/2016, which establishes the Scientific Initiation and Initiation in Technological Development and Innovation Program at USP, have been published in the Official State Gazette.

The consolidated text of the Resolution is available at: https://leginf.usp.br/?resolucao=resolucao-copq-no-7236-de-22-de-julho-de-2016-copy

Among the main changes are the possibility of co-orientation (except for the PIBIC notice), orientation by accredited collaborators, the lack of need for frequency release, among others.

We emphasize that the Atena system does not yet reflect all the changes made to the Resolution, but we are working together with STI to ensure its implementation as quickly as possible.
